Audra’s Studio is a one-person handmade shop. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you visit audrasstudio.com or buy something from it. Questions about anything here can go to audra@audrasstudio.com.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, and phone number if you provide one. We keep a record of what you bought and when.
When you contact us: whatever you put in the contact form, so we can reply.
Automatically: your IP address and browser information, which our security and spam tools use to tell real visitors from attacks.
Your card details
Payments are processed by Square. Your card number goes directly to Square and is never stored on this website. We can see that an order was paid and the last four digits, nothing more. Square’s privacy policy is at squareup.com/legal/privacy.
Who else sees your information
Only the services needed to actually get your order to you:
- Square — payment processing.
- USPS — your name and shipping address, to print the label and deliver the parcel.
- WooCommerce Tax — your shipping address is used to calculate the correct sales tax rate.
- MailPoet — sends your order confirmation and the other emails about your order.
- Wordfence and Antispam Bee — security and spam filtering, which look at IP addresses.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or hand it to anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.
Keeping up with the shop
There is no mailing list. We do not collect email addresses for marketing and we do not send a newsletter. New work, restocks and sales are posted on the Audra’s Studio Facebook page and in the Inside Audra’s Studio group, and on Instagram. Following any of those is up to you, and it is Facebook or Instagram holding that information — not this shop. Leaving is a matter of unfollowing; nothing has to come through us.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets cookies that make it work — remembering what is in your cart and keeping you logged in through checkout. Those cannot be switched off without breaking the shop.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use analytics that follow you around the web. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it does.
How long we keep it
Order records — what was bought, by whom, for how much, and the tax collected — are kept for at least five years, because Washington State requires business tax records to be kept that long. Contact form messages are kept while they are useful and deleted after.
What you can ask us to do
Email audra@audrasstudio.com and you can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct something wrong, or ask us to delete it.
The one thing we cannot delete is a completed order record, for as long as tax law requires us to keep it.
Children
This shop is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
