Description
A smaller layered laser-cut wood reindeer peeking over a round wood tag, painted by hand and matte sealed, hanging from jute with a wood bead. “Baby’s First Christmas” curves around the top. Add the year, or a name and year on the back, free. Approximately 4 inches in diameter.
Red nose, pink ears, antlers layered so they stand up off the background, and a ring of hand-painted white dots around the rim. Small enough for a stocking, light enough for the thin branches at the top of the tree, and it arrives in a clear sleeve so it can be given as-is.

Two ways, both free:
- The year on the front — so ten Decembers from now nobody has to argue about which year it was.
- Their name and the year on the back — the front stays exactly as pictured, and the keepsake part is waiting on the other side when you turn it over.
Or leave it plain. Choose above, and type the name exactly how you want it spelled — I engrave what you send me, so give it one more read before you add to cart.
About the bead
Every one is strung by hand from whatever beads are on the bench that day — plain wood, red plaid, whatever suits it. Yours will not necessarily be the one in the photo, and that is on purpose. The ornament itself is exactly as pictured.
There is a bigger one too
This is the smaller of the two reindeer, the one with the name curving around the arc. The same ornament is also made with a larger reindeer face and the name straight across the top — that one has its own listing. The last photo shows the two together so you can see the difference.
About this one
There’s exactly one Christmas where the baby has no idea what’s happening — where the tree is just lights and the paper is more interesting than what’s inside it. This is the ornament for that year, and it comes back out every December after.
