Ghost Shelf Sitter

Description

A ghost with a broom, built from separate pieces of laser-cut wood and painted by hand. White body with a scalloped hem, two black oval eyes, and a dark witch hat flopped over to one side.

The white is dry-brushed rather than filled in, so the bare wood shows through along the edges and around the scallops at the bottom — that is what keeps him from reading as a paper cutout. On the hat sits a layered purple and pink flower with a small orange pumpkin face in the center of it and green fern leaves behind. The broom is its own piece, curled at the top and dry-brushed the same grey.

He stands on his own — the body and the broom are cut to balance, so there is no base plate, no easel and no hanging hardware.
