Two lengths means the same piece works for a full bun on a thick-hair day and a loose half-up on a lazy one. Most stick barrettes ship one stick and you’re stuck with whatever length someone else picked. The charms — a bee, a leaf, a flower, a butterfly — never match between the two sticks in a set.

How to wear it

Gather your hair, lay the barrette over it, and weave a stick in through one hole, under the hair, and out the other. Long stick for thick hair and full buns, short stick for half-ups and finer hair. Takes about five seconds once you’ve done it twice.
